What the waitlist keeps, and why.
Last updated October 19, 2026The short version
When you join the waitlist we store your email address and a few details about the signup. We use them only to tell you about MacShelf, and we never sell or share them.
What we store
Your email address; whether you make or use Mac apps; if you make them, your answers to the signup questions (how many apps you have and how far along they are, links to them if you share any, whether you have an Apple Developer account, how you host, update and sell your apps, and which features you want); where you came from (a referral tag in the link, or the page that linked here); your country, as reported by our hosting provider; and when you signed up.
How we use it
To invite you when MacShelf opens, and to send occasional updates about the launch. Knowing whether you make or use Mac apps tells us who to invite first, and developers' answers tell us what to build first.
Website data
This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It stores your selected color theme in your browser's local storage so the site can remember it. The site and the waitlist are hosted on Cloudflare, which may process ordinary operational logs needed to deliver them. When you join, your email and answers are also sent to our team's private Discord channel so we can follow up.
Leaving the waitlist
Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with and we'll delete it.
